The Scene Magazine is happy to announce that they will be sponsoring the Suzuki Freshwater Salmon Festival featuring Aerosmith July 14, 2012 in Grand Falls Windsor.

“As a new magazine, we looked at the risks and decided that it was worth it. It took a ton of work and we’re excited to be a part of it.” said owner Darrell Shelley.

The Scene Magazine launched in November 2011 with a handful of friends trying to report on the local music scene in St.John’s.

In 6 short months it has grown to to over 18 contributors in two markets (www.peiscene.com and stjohnsscene.com).

The Scene has covered and reported on such event’s and artists as Canadian Music Week, The East Coast Music Awards,  Deep Purple, I Mother Earth, Slash, Joel Plaskett, Hey Rosetta, Ron Hynes, The Novaks and over 50 other acts.

The Magazine also has sections that feature local food, indie films, theatre, dating, art and photography.

The Suzuki Freshwater Salmon Festival featuring Aerosmith and organized by SRO Entertainment, known for bringing KISS last year, is expected to be the most successful Salmon Festival to date.
