Stephen Harper breaks the internet after live music performance – SEE VIDEO HERE

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper played the Conservative annual Christmas party in Ottawa Tuesday night.   Reaction poured in from all over the web, temporarily breaking the internet around 8am Wednesday morning after the CBC posted the first video.

The set included never before, one of a kind, mind blowing versions of Guns N Roses ‘Sweet Child O’Mine’ and John Denver’s ‘Country Roads’. It’s rumored that lead singer/songwriter Axel Rose called up Harper to congratulate him on his performance and offered to send him a limited edition singed vinyl. However, being cool like he is, Harper politely declined.

Harper and his new band the Van Cats even went on to surprise the crowd with a completely unique twist on the lyrics of Country Roads.  In a play, not anticipated, the famous lyric ‘West Virginia’ was substituted with ‘West Alberta’.

This may very well be one of the best live performances of 2014!   Here is some of the feedback we found online:
