Disclosure’s New Music Video Removed Due to Drug References

Disclosure’s new music video for “Help Me Lose My Mind” was removed from the internet just hours after its release this morning due to drug references.

It was only hours after Disclosure’s new music video for “Help Me Lose My Mind” featuring London Grammar was released this morning that the video was abruptly removed.

The duo’s label, PMR Records, released a statement via Stereogum explaining that various comments on the video mentioned they had noticed the depiction of drug use. The label made it clear  in their statement that they’re against the glamorization of drugs, and therefore, felt it was necessary to remove the video.

“The video for Disclosure’s new single “Help Me Lose My Mind” was revealed this morning and as with previous Disclosure videos, it was about the connection of people having a good time, something that Disclosure want associated with their music and what we hope people have done when they’ve seen the band live or while listening to their music. Unfortunately the video has received a few comments referencing the use of drugs within the video.PMR feel very strongly against the glamorisation of drugs in any capacity and as such we have made the decision to remove the video,” reads the statement released by PMR.

The clip was released in support of the UK duo’s album, Settle.

Disclosure has been one of the biggest successes of 2013 in the electronic music industry. The duo, which consists of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, proved that they’re a force to be reckoned with as they have secured two consecutive top 10 singles with the release of “White Noise” and “You & Me.” In addition, their album Settle debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart.

The duo are in high demand and have embarked on a massive international tour, which includes a couple of dates in Canada. See the full list of tour dates below.
