KITCH Komedy has been home to live standup comedy every Thursday for 3 years. That’s 150 shows. 300 hours – of LIVE. CANADIAN. COMEDY.

For a weekly standup comedy show that’s like 500 Old Yeller years.

Every Thursday in upper Bloordale, the trendy chromed-out, graffiti splattered loft style watering hole we know and love as KITCH (229 Geary Ave, Duff + Dupont) is home to an ever-changing lineup of Canadian comics. And Toronto’s hottest young guns on the standup scene. Comics you’ve seen and heard across the network dial – from MTV to Much Music, CBC & CTV, Comedy Central (Comedy Network too from time to time). CBC Radio, Sirius XM, and comics who’ve seen more podcasts than Marc Maron’s garage.

On any given week, comics passing across the KITCH stage have appeared on festivals big and small and at home and abroad. From NXNE and JFL42 here in Toronto, to club stages and festival galas from coast to coast. Fringe Festivals around the world from Edinburgh to Adelaide.

The only comic on the lineup who stays the same week in and week out, is me. Your intrepid MC (and editor of The Scene Magazine Comedy Affairs Desk, of course)

This week, we’ve landed ourselves a white whale! All for the lo/no price of $P.W.Y.C!

KITCH is home to this year’s ‘Homegrown’ lineup, and a few festival favorites, returning to Montreal for Canadian comedy’s most coveted gig – JUST FOR LAUGHS (or Juste Pour Rire for our Francophone frenemies)

Yup. This Thursday at KITCH you’ll see some of this city’s finest (and a few room favorites added on the bill for flavor) warming up their festival sets for nuthin’! No cover, just your generosity at the end of the show.

You’re going to miss out on that?

KITCH, please. This week on the program we’ve got man mountain of standup and storytelling, hometown comedy hero K. Trevor Wilson (Just for Laughs, JFL42). Canadian Comedy Award nominated Steph Tolev (Ladystache, And Homegrown 2015 contenders Daniel Woodrow (CTV, Much) and Aisha Alfa (Much Music, Winnipeg Comedy Festival). And appearing at Zoofest during Just for Laughs we have Montreal export Massimo and standup shogun Chris Robinson.

And to round it all out, KITCH favorites Jarrett Campbell (Rude Dudes, Dark Comedy Festival) and Zabrina Chevannes (Stroumboulopoulos, Toronto Fringe)

Seriously, that’s a lot of show. Juste Pour Gratuit! Catch them here, before we head to Montreal. Land of cigarettes, smoked meat, smoked meat poutine… you know what? Everything in Montreal smokes. And of course, Canada’s best in comedy.
