Ottawa’s top-notch concert promoters Spectrasonic have once again hit a home run. Florida hardcore giants A Day To Remember are hitting Ottawa this coming Sunday, August 11, along with San Diego-based Pierce the Veil.

From being labelled “Most Boring City in Canada” to being left off many big-name tours, Ottawa’s unfortunate status as a sleepy, uneventful, and drab government-run town all too often detracts from what is actually a fairly lively city. The Ottawa-based promotion company, Spectrasonic, has done loads to change that, and revive the music scene in town.

This trek continues with A Day To Remember and Pierce the Veil at EY Centre. If you haven’t yet, listen to their take on Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone”. Yes, that one. The band is a good time waiting to happen, and their over-the-top, adrenaline-pumping live sound is accompanied with an up close and personal stage presence, no better embodied than by frontman Jeremy McKinnon’s frenetic and roaring persona.

It’s sure to be a good night in foggy Ottawa town, so make sure you don’t miss one of the best hardcore acts in years.
