Bamboo Garden is one of the best kept secrets in the city when it comes to Chinese food. Featuring an extensive menu of over 70 dishes, 8 appetizers, 5 combination platters, and 3 classic Chinese soups, this restaurant is all about quality food and exceptional service. A small cozy space with simple decor, Bamboo Garden offers delicious combination platters for up to 6 and a wide variety of traditional and westernized Chinese main dishes. The combination platters are hugely popular and well worth it.

Whether you eat in or take out, you will be treated to generous portions of all the classic staples. The sweet and sour chicken balls and chop suey are particularly impressive, the sauce taste distinctly of sour cherry and the chop suey is full of flavorful juicy chicken and vegetables. Even their fried rice is excellent, very moist and not at all dry as it sometimes can be. Another standout is their Won Ton Soup, a perfect accompaniment to any meal you choose, the dumplings within its satisfying light broth are cooked just right. The main dishes menu holds many popular options as well, with most of the items under 10 dollars.

Bamboo Garden is open 7 days a week from noon to 11pm. They offer take out and delivery in addition to eating in house. If eating in, take the window seat and take in the hustle and bustle of Duckworth St, while you enjoy the warm and very friendly service with a smile. Dinner for two generally costs somewhere around $20, an absolute deal when it comes to dining downtown.
