Darrell Shelley is a musician, sound engineer and owner of THE SCENE. He graduated with a diploma in Jazz Studies from St.Fx in 2003. He has traveled, Europe, USA, Mexico and Canada several times. His band Chameleonize won “best hard rock band” at the Barrie New Music fest in Barrie ON 2011. Chameleonize has shared the stage with the likes of Steve Hill, My Darkest Days, Billy Talent and DOA. As a sound engineer Darrell has worked with K-OS, Teenage Head, Rick Emmett, Bachman/Cummings, Donnie Whalberg, YOB, Cascada, Down With Webster, Sons Of Otis, Broken Social Scene, The Philosopher Kings, Sugarland and the late great Jeff Healey.

He won the most “promising guitarist” award at the 2000 Newfoundland Provincial battle of the bands presented by Denis Parker. Darrell was the first person to graduate from the “MIP” and “Recording Arts programs” with Neil Bishop at CONA (4 year program) in 3 short years and transfer credits to St. Fx.

Darrell created THE SCENE magazine to help foster growth in music, arts and entertainment for Canada.
