One of best selling artists of all time will be coming back to Canada this summer for one night only.  The Rolling Stones have announced that they will kick off their new 15-city North American stadium, ZIP CODE tour, in San Diego on May 24 at Petco Park.   The tour will wrap up at the number one festival in Canada, Festival D’ete De Quebec, (see music festival best of 2013 list) on the Plaines D’Abraham July 15. The tour will also coincide with the Rolling Stones re-release of Sticky Fingers on May 26.

“The Rolling Stones show underlines the Festival’s placement among top music events worldwide. We expect fans from all over to converge in Québec City for the band’s only show date in Canada, putting the Festival and the city in the spotlight, with great spinoffs for tourism,” said Daniel Gélinas, general manager of the Festival. “It’s an honor to host the legendary Stones, and their concert, adding tremendous excitement to an already very impressive 2015 lineup, will no doubt be a dream come true for so many of our local and international festival fans,” he added.

Festival d’été de Québec, one of Canada’s largest outdoor music festivals, is set in the modern, yet historic and picturesque Québec City. With world renowned talent (Kiss ’09, Iron Maiden ’10, Metallica & Elton John ’11, Bon Jovi & Aerosmith ’12, Stevie Wonder ’13, Billy Joel & Soundgarden ’14) attendance tops over one million each year.  With 10 indoor and outdoor venues and 300+ artists,  the festival celebrates music for 11 days in July.  It offers the perfect setting to discover up-and-coming artists and enjoy world-renowned stars.

Festival passes will go on sale April 11 at noon and cost $78 (pre sale) for the entire 11 days.
