What is a marijuana (weed) herbal vaporizer?

Comments Off on What is a marijuana (weed) herbal vaporizer?

A weed vaporizer or herbal vaporizer is an electronic device that heats up cannabis marijuana (either in dry herb or concentrate form) to a temperature to transmit its active ingredients (THC, CBD and other cannabonoids) without any combustion. High-quality devices typically deliver vapor that accentuates the flower’s natural aroma and terpenes.

Vaporizers come in all different shapes and sizes, there are mainly three type of vaporizers: desktop vapes, portable reusable vapes and disposable vape pens.

Desktop vaporizer
A desktop vaporizer is a device that’s meant to stay in one place (not for travel). They’re dependent on a wall outlet, and most allow you to precisely adjust the temperature — an important factor to the vaping equation (more on that later). Some models use a “whip,” a hose-like mouthpiece, or “balloon,” a bag that fills with vapor which you then inhale from — like a Volcano.

Portable vaporizer
If a desktop vape is like a desktop PC, portable vaporizer is like laptops. Many are essentially e-cigarettes that are modified to vaporize marijuana instead of e-juice. Portable vapes (which are battery-operated) can be slim and sleek like a fancy pen or as big and bulky as a walkie talkie or water bottle.

Disposable vaporizer pen
It is a ready to use vape pen, similar to a disposable e-cigarette, that already has oil version of the cannabis. it also has a precharged inbuilt battery. The device typically will stop working after the oil has been consumed or the battery has died. Typically, we can expect to get ~100-150 short puffs.

How is vaping different from smoking?
Cleaning a bong, scraping resin out of a pipe, or vacuuming ashes is disgusting. With vaporizers, clean-up is minimal and usually limited to the tank/chamber and mouthpiece. However, with oil pens that can get a little messy, too. Like e cigarettes, they produce less harmful chemicals than when combusting your cannabis weed in a bong, pipe or joint.
